An RR Donnelley Company

History

History
Our company was founded in 1987 by Don Annan and Jack Bird. In the beginning, we started with a modest 8,000 square foot building and a single old 44x60 Harris five-colour press. Success came quickly and before we knew it, we were running three shifts and out of space.

By the end of our lease in 1992, we moved into a much larger facility and purchased a 44x64 Planeta six-colour with coater, and soon both presses were running around the clock. At the same time, we hired a U.S. sales rep and began servicing the U.S. market.

In 1996, we placed an order for the first of two Mitsubishi 57″ presses and in 1998, we purchased a 78″ seven-colour Lithotronic press. In 1999, we installed our first Valmet sheeter, our second 57″ Mitsubishi and started our digital prepress division. At the same time, we increased our sales force.

In July 2003, we moved into our current location on Tristar. Since moving in, we have purchased an 81″ KBA six-colour press, expanded the facility by 50,000 square feet, and most recently purchased a new 64″ Heidelberg six-colour press—all moves driven by our passion for servicing our clients.

From our humble beginnings we have grown to a staff of over 100 people and ship to all four corners of the U.S. and Canada. The phenomenal growth we have experienced would not have been possible without the loyalty of our many valued customers and the dedication of our employees. For this we are extremely grateful!
